Personal
To tell you who I am, I must first tell you where I came from. I was raised in Northeast Arkansas in the Blytheville/Gosnell area and then moved to the West Memphis/Marion area later in life. I finally made the move across the mighty Mississippi to the Millington area in 2003. My husband, Kevin and I have five fabulous children ranging in ages from 12 to 21. Between the kids activities and Kevin's Sprint Car Racing, my life is full of excitement! Oh, I guess you may be wondering why my site has the song "Rocky Top" playing as background music. Kevin, my husband, and I are HUGE Tennessee Vols fan. So, that explains that!
I have watched Millington and South Tipton County grow so much in such a short time. New businesses are popping up everywhere! When I saw the sign that Starbucks was opening, I knew "we" had made it! Millington is on the map.
Our city has a lot to offer to families moving into the area. The City of Millington has a great park and recreations program that offer many sports to our youth. Our community has united together many times to support locals who need help in various ways. Millington is far enough from the big city life but, is close enough for convenience. We absolutely love it here!
